- Gabe attended various elementary schools, graduated from Royall High School and UW-Platteville.
- Gabe is married to Beth, A life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church. They have 3 children, Samuel, Ella and Aiden, who all attend St. John's School. Gabe also coaches various sports at St. John's and is Trainmaster for Pioneer Train #1 here at St. John's Lutheran.
