Federation Churches:
Eight WELS Churches in Southeastern Wisconsin and Northeastern Illinois support the operation and supply members to the Board of Directors of Camp Oak Ridge. The following Churches form what is technically know as Camp Oak Ridge, Inc.:
Three Asscoiate Member Churchs:
First Lutheran - Lake Geneva, WI
St. Johns Lutheran - Watertown, WI
Living Water - Wind Lake, WI
Lutheran Pioneer groups from all of the federation churches use the camp frequently from the end of April through the end of October each year. As a member of a federation church you and your family are always welcome to use the facilities.
What camping services are provided?
Each camping area has electrical (30 and 15 amp) pedestals and running water. The camp sites are all group sites and sharing the water and electrical hookups is expected. There are remote area sites for tent campers with no electric and water for those that like to rough-it.
There is a bathhouse with flush toilets and showers. A trailer dumping station located next to the bathhouse.
There is a kitchen/pavilion available for group functions. Please check with your church camp director (see list below) for reserving the building for your group. Several church picnics and other events are held at various times of the year and scheduling is important to ensure availability.
There is no janitorial service or garbage disposal at the camp. Each group or individual is expected to clean up after using the camp and facilities and is responsible for their own garbage collection and removal.
